Ingredients:
- 1 cup (255g) creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups (200g) powdered sugar
- 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp (1.5g) salt
- 1 1/2 cups (255g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp (32g) creamy peanut butter
Instructions:
- Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
- In a medium bowl, stir together the melted butter and 1 cup of peanut butter until smooth.
- Fold in the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until a thick, cohesive dough forms.
- Press the peanut butter mixture firmly and evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan using the back of a spoon.
- Place semi-sweet chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons of peanut butter in a microwave-safe glass bowl.
- Microwave on high for 30 seconds, then stir. Continue microwaving in 15-second intervals, stirring each time, until the mixture is glossy and smooth.
- Pour the chocolate mixture over the peanut butter base and spread evenly with a spatula to the edges.
- Refrigerate the pan for at least 1 hour until the topping is firm.
- Lift the bars out of the pan using the parchment paper and slice into 20 equal squares with a sharp knife.
